Sprouting Some New Seeds

We just started a new experiment: growing traditional Bibb lettuce and aquaponically grown lettuce side by side to measure the change in mass over time. We are controlling light exposure, iron concentration, and species of lettuce. We hope to see a much higher average mass in the aquaponically grown plants when compared to the traditionally grown crops. We are so excited about this experiment and can't wait to see the results! These results are especially important, as we will send our data to a college student in Oregon and Morocco to help them with their research on aquaponics. We will keep you updated as to how our experiment goes!
