Our very own aquaponics system established in Gardiner!

Yesterday, we assembled our DIY system in Gardiner, NY. This was such an exciting day! Situated in their 18th century farmhouse, this system will provide a food source for this farm and community. Emme has known this family for over 12 years and knows how difficult the winters are for them. They produce most of the food that they consume right on their property and the winter creates a burden on their food production. Having an aquaponics system will allow them to produce food year-round right in their basement.
This farm also serves as a classroom for the homeschooling community. Here, students take courses on literature, creative writing, science, and research. Having an aquaponics system on the property will be perfect for hands-on learning and experiences!
They can't wait to harvest and cook some smoked brown trout!
The AquaPals loved spending the day on the farm and can't wait for more collaboration with this farm in the future!
